Gaming Aliases:
The name FanDancer refers to the Fan Dance, the endurance test undertaken during the SAS selection process. The requirement is to start with weapon and heavily loaded Bergen, start at one side of Pen-y-Fan in the Brecon Beacons and run to the other side. Once there, you turn around and run back. The trick is that you must do it within a time limit and must not use any paths or tracks. Amongst those in the know the nickname FanDancer is taken to mean a SAS recruit who has passed this test but has not yet passed pass final parachute training and been issued with their Ibis wings. I use the name for two reasons: One – my love of finding the less obvious route into a enemy position usually over the hills or up the steepest slopes; and Two – most people don’t know what the name means and mistakenly believe it has some effeminate connotations, only a few people would understand the real meaning if someone was to refer to a rather shabby looking soldier with no beret or regimental insignia as a FanDancer.

Hussars:
How did you find the Hussars or how did they find you?
Sort of volunteered a the time the Hussars were first joining up. I watched the names of those who were joining and after enough of the really good and fair playing gamers had joined I decided that the clan looked like it had real prospects for playing the kind of game I wanted to be involved in. Not for frag happy competition games but just purely for the enjoyment of playing a team game with friends.

How does playing with the Hussars compare to other games/matches?
I have no experience of any other multiplayer clans to make any other comment other than to say that I wouldn’t want to play any other way.
